Eat Your Heart Out Necklace - 1 of 1

A pomegranate, a carrot, and a beet walk into a bar...just joking ;)

I've been making beet roots for a couple years now, originally inspired by the beauty of the vegetable itself, but also maybe by the book Jitterbug Perfume. As author Tom Robbins says, what other food comes out undiminished in colour from how it went in? There's a lot of power in the small but mighty beetroot. This one is set with a 3mm Idaho garnet, while the carrot is set with 3 x 1.5mm orange zircons, and the pomegranate is set with a 3mm grape garnet cabochon. I've strung them on a strand of handmade fine silver beads sourced from the Karen Hill Tribe of Thailand, with handcut Afghan jade beads in a matte finish. An extender allows this necklace to be worn from approx 15.5 inches to 18.5 inches. A single copy edition, one of one and completely unique and handmade.
