Lunula Necklace - Montana Sapphire

This Lunula Necklace is one of a kind, with a natural blue Montana sapphire star set in the centre. The sapphire measures approx 2.75mm in diameter. I love the subtle feminine power here. Can be worn at 18 or 20 inches. On 1.5mm sterling silver oval rolo chain and finished with a hand-forged hook clasp.

Lunula amulets are crescent moon shaped charms and have been worn since the Roman era beginning in the 8th century AD. They are amulets of protection 

specifically for girls and women, used to ward off evil and bring good fortune. The connection between women and the moon is ancient and sacred and just as powerful and true today as it was thousands of years ago. My Lunula amulets are quite sculptural, beautifully rounded to ensure there are no sharp edges or points, and in form they stay true to the ancient designs that inspired them.

All my work is handmade using traditional goldsmithing,
