Mermaid Treasure Earrings

Spectacular ocean-inspired earrings for those with a special affinity for the water. I bought these 1.13 carat, deep, royal blue, radiant cut sapphires a couple years ago when I saw them in one of my favourite gem suppliers' catalogues, and waited patiently for inspiration to strike. I knew I wanted to set them in gold to play off the depth of the gems and one day, sure enough, I received the vision! I hand carved these chunky, coral-inspired settings and cast them in recycled 10 karat yellow gold. They dangle from 14 karat yellow gold huggie hoops. The hoop earring tops are horse-shoe shaped, which is reminiscent of an anchor, to keep the mariner theme going, and please note that they are hollow, to keep the design budget-friendly. These would be amazing earrings to wear on your wedding day, but they're also extremely wearable as a put on and never take off earring style. Personally, I love wearing beautiful earrings all day every day, because life is the special occasion! Bonus points if I don't have to take them off to sleep, like these guys :)
