Brookie Bracelet - Citrine & Sapphire

This special bracelet features a pair of brook trout - hand-sawn, hand-forged, and hand-engraved for all the itty bitty fishy details, paired with a trio of tiny faceted gem grade citrines in a deep rust colour set on sterling silver sunbursts, textured and oxidized for an old world feel. The brookies have tiny royal blue sapphire eyes!!! A hand-forged clasp and links give about a half inch of adjustability to this bracelet, it will fit wrists that are 6 to 7 inches in diameter (it does also fit my wrist; which is closer to 5.75 inches).

One September afternoon I sat just upstream from where the cold water river feeds into the big lake. I’d spent the day working deep down a bush road high up in the Algoma mountain ranges here in northern Ontario. The water was so full of spawning brookies that they were swimming on top of each other. It was a beautiful day, the sun beating down on my back, my body bone tired from a full day of good, honest work, and I had such a peaceful feeling of wonder & belonging in my heart. I hope this one of a kind bracelet evokes in you some of that sweet river magic.

All my work is handmade using traditional goldsmithing, stone-setting, and hand-engraving techniques, with my own two hands and a lot of heart and soul.
